Actually, I would be happy if the Hobbit wasn't made into a movie. PJ butchered the LotR movies. One can never just make a book into a movie without taking artistic liberations for today's crowd. The Hobbit is such an amazing work that can't all be captured into 3 to 9 hours of film. LotR couln't.

i think making the hobbit is an alright idea but the only cool characters in it from the Lotr is Bilbo and Gandalf, plus the really important details which occured in th Hobbit were mentioned in fotr

he did not butcher the books they are good just as the movies are it is like they are 2 diff. things to me they are both soooo great seperatly.. and really together as well. i dont know.. i did not mean for this to be devoted to th ehobbit being a movie just abything lotr ..here is the place to talk about it really.. okay bye

Lord of the Rings is the best thing ever created and will always be. Without these thrilling movies, I don't think I could survive. And Peter jackson never butchered any movies. He's the all time best director ever!!!! And Orlando Bloom is HoTTTTT

OK-- this is sort of OT, but we had this whole discussion on beauty in British Lit. class today (we had read the Rape of the Lock, where a guy cuts off a chick's curl of hair and everybody freaks out; it was written in the 1700s). But anyways, we were focusing on female beauty and the topic got changed to male beauty. The first word that came up: Orlando Bloom... then Brad Pitt. And I would be allright if the Hobbit was made- as long as they didn't re-make the Silmarillion. Even if that's a really hard read, it's now one of my favourite books. The characters and story are absolutely amazing!!  |

yea Orlando Bloom is so hot, but it annoys me that like every girl, (not every, butmost) seem to be in love with him. When I talk 2 ppl they either love him or they hate him, it seems as if theres no in between. As for Kate Boswirth, i hope they break up. Out of all the actresses out ther he chose her. Sorry to anyone who is a fan of hers but I never liked her.!!!

Then I guess that I'm one of the rare people that is an in-betweener, lol. I used to have a huge crush on Orli for a few weeks, and then realized that 4/5 of females my age did, so that really stopped the idolization. Oooh! Random Oril/Kate Boswirth thing! When I went to the California Adventure park, my sister and I rode in the EXACT same spots on the roller coaster that they did before the PotC premier!! ;D (but I was Kate... :: huff :: )  |

wow, i seemed to have missed a lot.
ok, not to be all "damper-the-mood" or anything, but he did butcher the movies.
the books had a lot less violence then the first movie did. helm's deep wasn't that long, and the aragorn thing never happened, and yeah.
i love the movies, they are the best ever, i just thought that i should put my 2 cents in on that topic.
as for the hobbit:
they've already made it, according to some of my sources. they've already seen the trailer and supposedly it's due out in 2007 and PJ didn't direct it. like i said, this is according to my sources and people lie, so if this is false information, don't hunt down the white guy.
as for orlando bloom:
what the heck is the big deal about this guy? i bet he sits and home and laughs all day because the girls freak out whenever they see his face anywhere!
the debate is always going to be between johnny depp or orlando bloom. if you don't like orlando, you like johnny, and if you don't like johnny, you like orlando. there are very few who are mutual and there are even more few who hate both of them.
stupid pretty-boys.
they take all the fun out of life.

ok, well, in all honesty i didn't watch much.
it was 12 22 AM, and i sat in bed and turned on my TV (that's how i get to sleep), and i turned to TV guide and it said Kenshin and the R word thing...and so i was like "Oh, hey, Kenshin, Kiirara will be proud."
so i turned to the channel, and like, some guy said one line that i can't even remember and then it was over.
i'll watch a full episode one day.
